With every new iPhone usually arrive a new processor and a new GPU.Sources from Germany, however, seem to say that Apple, in addition to the usual tests of new CPUs and GPUs, is also trying new resolutions for monitors of the 2012 iDevice.
Among these are the classic 960 × 640, ie the one used by the RetinaDisplay, 720p, one called HD Ready (1280 x 720), and odd 1440 × 800.
Why are so unusual these resolutions? While the current iPhone has a ratioof 3:2 between the two sides, with these would increase to a ratio of 16:9 for720p, while an even more strange relationship for the second.
This led me to think it was just a typo in the blog that reported the newssources (Macerkopf) and that in fact the resolution in question is 1440 × 900,which would lead back to a ratio of 16:9.
Of course, for now, it's just rumors, coming from behind a blog that has a negative record of correct predictions within the Apple. Then take the newswith pliers, also thinking this would lead to fragmentation of the iDevice new resolution in the world, the same thing that Steve Jobs had not wanted to avoid giving the iPhone this year, a bigger screen with higher resolution.
